The United States has imposed a new charge on Chinese goods worth 16 billion dollars
announced that the US Trade Representative , the United States will be imposed as of August 23, 2018 customs duties by 25% on Chinese imports with a total value of $ 50 billion.
The US trade representative said it was in response to "China's unfair trade practices."
The US Department of Commerce said the fees would include some 279 Chinese products, in response to China's unfair trade practices, including the theft of technology and the violation of intellectual property rights.
China's Ministry of Commerce warned earlier that Beijing was ready to adopt countermeasures against US practices.
It is noteworthy that Washington has imposed fees since 6 July on imported Chinese goods worth $ 34 billion, and from the date of August 23 will target these additional products fees worth $ 16 billion.
