BAGHDAD - A US-based security source in Anbar province on Saturday reported the arrival of sophisticated US weapons to the Ain al-Assad air base west of the province, adding that an American force stationed near the Haditha dam had been equipped with those weapons.
"American aircraft have transferred advanced weapons to the base of Ain al-Asad, west of Anbar, and to US forces stationed in different parts of the western sector without knowing the real motives behind the arrival of these weapons," the source told Al-Maaloumah.
The source added that "the weapons that reached the base of Ain al-Assad air varied and sophisticated," noting that "US forces tested these weapons near the district of Haditha west of Anbar after the supply of US troops stationed near the dam of modern weapons."
He said that "US air force intensified its flights in the skies over the western areas to the border with Syria without knowing the reasons as well." Ending 12 /
