BAGHDAD / The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan al-Kaabi said on Thursday that Iraq after the year 2018 is different than before, while referring to the move to erase all the effects of subversive.
Al-Kaabi's office said in a statement that "the member of the Presidency of the House of Representatives Hassan Karim al-Kaabi met with the President of the Qatari Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud on the sidelines of the conference of the Parliamentary Union in Geneva."
Al-Kaabi stressed "Iraq's support for the file of Qatar in hosting the work of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union for the next session," noting that "Iraq this year and beyond will be different than before."
"Iraq is looking forward to a quick and effective Arab-international contribution to the reconstruction of the provinces affected by terrorism," he said. "The country has gone to erase all the provocative and destructive effects of extremist schools and to promote a culture of dialogue, love and peaceful coexistence."
A parliamentary delegation led by First Deputy Speaker Hassan al-Kaabi arrived in Geneva last Saturday to participate in the 139th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Finished
