Russian energy: Russian oil production fell 228 thousand barrels per day

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's oil production will fall 228,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the first quarter of next year, in line with Moscow's commitments under a global deal to cut crude production, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Tuesday.
The minister told reporters he would meet with Russian oil companies on Wednesday to discuss the situation in the world oil market and corporate movements.
He added that Russian oil production is expected to be between 555 and 556 million tons next year, but that estimate could be reduced by between three and four million tons due to fog.
