Qatar expands the base of several US military at its expense

The Qatari government has offered the United States the cost of expanding the base of many used by US forces as a key foot in the implementation of military operations in the Middle East .
The two sides reiterated their "commitment to the joint declaration on security cooperation to promote peace and stability and to confront the scourge of terrorism," the two sides said in a joint statement issued on Sunday after the second round of the "strategic dialogue" between the two countries concluded.
"The United States welcomed Qatar's generous offer to expand vital facilities in the bases used by US forces in the country and to reconcile operating procedures with these standards and NATO standards, thereby increasing the operational capability of US and coalition forces stationed in Qatar, " the statement said. .
The two sides confirmed that the United States and Qatar had signed a "memorandum of understanding that would allow for greater coordination in the possible expansion of al-Nayad air base."
"The State of Qatar's offers to finance capital expenditures and continuity requirements contribute to a more sustainable United States presence," said the document.
The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo , has already announced, That he signed with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani, an agreement on expanding the presence of the United States at the base of the air, which he described as "the key to US defense."
Founded in 2005 and located 30 kilometers southwest of the Qatari capital of Doha, the military air base, which is a major foothold for US operations in the Middle East, bases the relations between the two countries strategically. In light of the continuing sharp differences with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.
