According to unnamed Arab sources, the Arab newspaper Al-Ahram reported that Arab countries boycotting Qatar are moving towards tightening their boycott if Doha does not respond to the previous conditions.
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt, gave Doha 72 hours to meet its demands, otherwise the blockade would be tightened, the paper said.
The new tough measures, according to Egyptian newspaper sources, include four main themes:
Economic boycott.
- Freezing Qatar's membership in the Gulf Cooperation Council.
- Establishment of an Arab military base from the four countries in Bahrain.
- Freezing Qatar deposits in the provinces.
