Halabousi receives US Charge d'affaires in Baghdad

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi received on Friday Chargé d'affaires of the United States Embassy, Joy Had.
"The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the efforts of the US support for Iraq in the area of security and stability," the statement said.
Al-Halbusi stressed during the meeting "the need for continued efforts of the international coalition in support of the Iraqi government; to complete the pages of the war against terrorism and the elimination of cells of a sympathetic organization, and provide support for the intelligence and technical effort necessary for Iraqi forces."
"We look forward to the continued support of the United States of America to the Iraqi government in the implementation of its government program, and work together to activate the file of reconstruction of Iraqi cities, and provide jobs and complete the restoration of stability to ensure the return of displaced people to their homes.
For his part, the US Charge d'affaires, according to the statement, "the commitment of his government to support Iraq in all areas and stand by his side to achieve stability."
