The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign exchange sales rose Wednesday to 176.9 billion dollars.
"Foreign currency sales continued to rise at Wednesday's auction to reach $ 176.9 million, compared with $ 160.13 million in Tuesday's auction, which will rise by $ 16.77 million," the bank said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
The statement added that "the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 30 banks, in addition to a single financial transfer company," noting that "sales executed today are the results of tomorrow Thursday."
He explained that "the total sales amounted to 196.22 million dollars," noting that "the volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to 175.85 million dollars, while the total cash sold 1.05 million dollars."
The amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad were sold at a price of 1190 dinars per dollar, and the cash sale would be at the same price, according to the statement.
The foreign currency sales of the Central Bank of Iraq, the auction yesterday, a rise to the level of 160.13 million dollars, compared to sales of Monday's auction, which amounted to 148.74 million dollars.
