    Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to about one billion dollars.
    Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week, for the period of five days in which the auction opened, 986 million 315 thousand and 181 dollars, at a daily rate of 197 million 263 thousand and 36 dollars, up by 0.58% from what was recorded in the previous week, which amounted to 196 dollars. Two million 179 thousand and 862 dollars.
    The highest dollar sales were for Thursday, when sales amounted to 201 million, 110 thousand, and 290 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Wednesday, when sales amounted to 195 million, 371 thousand, and 636 dollars.
    Foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 818,855,181 dollars, an increase of 79.5% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 167,460,000 dollars.
    Our correspondent explained that the sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards amounted to 1305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of remittances abroad and the cash sale price amounted to 1310 dinars per dollar.
