About a billion dollars in Iraqi Central sales in a week

Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's total sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the past week amounted to about one billion dollars.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during the past week and for the five days in which the auction opened, 978 million 699 thousand 311 dollars, at a daily rate of 195 million 739 thousand 862 dollars, down by 7.14% from what was recorded in the previous week, which amounted to 210 million and 424 thousand and 928 dollars.
The highest sales of the dollar during the past week were on Sunday, when sales amounted to 207 million, 684 thousand and 288 dollars, while the lowest sales were on Tuesday, when sales amounted to 183 million, 890 thousand and 982 dollars.
Foreign remittance sales during the past week amounted to 828,569,311 dollars, an increase of 82% compared to cash sales, which amounted to 150,130,000 dollars.
Our correspondent explained that sales went in the form of cash and transfers abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of documentary credits and international settlements for electronic cards amounted to 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price of remittances abroad and the cash sale price amounted to 1,310 dinars per dollar.
