Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Saturday that there are no enemies of Iraq except terrorism, poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, pointing out that the choice of Cairo as his first foreign visit a message of great significance.
"Iraq today has no enemies but terrorism, poverty, illiteracy and unemployment," Abdul Mahdi told a joint press conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo.
Abdul-Mahdi pointed to "the need to dry the sources of terrorism," stressing that "cooperation between Egypt and Iraq in this regard will be essential."
He added that "we in Iraq are determined to exploit the strategic situation of our country in the development and strengthening of relations with the countries of the world." He pointed out that "the choice of Cairo as his first foreign visit is a significant message, considering Egypt's pivotal role, regional and international."
Abdul-Mahdi pointed to "the need to dry the sources of terrorism," stressing that "cooperation between Egypt and Iraq in this regard will be essential."
