Al-Ardawi: Halabousi disagreed with public opinion and political acceptance of the American presence

Political analyst Abbas al-Aredawi said on Friday that parliament speaker Mohamed Halabousi had raised controversy over his acceptance of the US presence in Iraq, noting that the United States had sent Halbusi's request after failing to convince politicians to keep its troops inside Iraq.
"The Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Al Halbusi should speak in the language of the Iraqi people and the House of Representatives, the majority of which rejected any American presence in Iraq," al-Aredawi said in a statement.
"Al-Halbusi's statements and his hand in the hands of the American occupier raises many questions and doubts about his acceptance of the US presence in Iraq and his acceptance of the issue, while there is parliamentary mobility within the parliament to vote on a decision to remove US forces from Iraq."
"The United States has failed in all its attempts to attract and win the political class in an attempt to keep its troops on the ground of Iraq and the non-parliamentary vote to remove these forces, and therefore sent Halbousi request to implement its plan for long-term survival on the land of Iraq and ensure that the parliament does not vote on any decision contrary to its interest" .
Al-Ardawi said that "it is not valid for Halbusi to accept the presence of US forces in Iraq, as Trump explained that his forces are in Iraq to serve the interests of Washington and the Zionist entity, and any politician accepts it is seeking political suicide." End 25 n
