Imam Jumaa al-Najaf, Sadruddin Qabbanji called on the government to fulfill its promises made to the Iraqi people.
"I ask God for our government to succeed in fulfilling its promises to the Iraqi people, and for the officials to be in the service of their people, to feel their concerns and sufferings, and to the people to live in a position of responsibility to defend their religion and their homeland," Qabbanji said in Eid al-Fitr sermon.
He called on the movements and entities to move away from narrow interests and think of the interests of the general public, and leaders to come to the reality of people and investigate their suffering and concerns.
