A member of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Representative Ali Al-Lami, confirmed, on Monday, that the Al-Kazemi government did not fulfill its promises to present the economic reform paper.
Al-Lami said in an interview with Al-Malouma that, after assuming its official duties, the Al-Kazemi government promised to present a comprehensive economic reform paper for the Iraqi situation after 3 months had passed, but so far the government has not fulfilled its promises and has not presented anything official about the economic paper.
He added, "There has not been any economic reform in the country so far, indicating that the economic reform paper is very important to clarify the course of government action and its steps, stressing the need for there to be a reform paper presented to Parliament for study and approval, noting that the government’s delay in presenting it is a negative sign."
The Al-Kazemi government pledged, after assuming the duties of running the country, to present a comprehensive economic reform paper within 3 months to Parliament for study and approval. Finished 25 F.
