    In line with the declaration of Gulf ports on the state of extreme readiness in anticipation of any emergency after the exposure of oil tankers to explode in the Strait of Hormuz. 
    In preparation for any emergency to face the challenges that may face land and maritime transport hubs to and from Iraq, the Parliamentary Services Committee held an extensive meeting on increasing maritime threats and decided to invite the Ministers of Oil, Trade, Transport, Planning and the Border Crossing Authority to meet in the Constitutional Hall at 11 am Wednesday, 19/6/2019 to discuss national plans and alternative options in case of closure of the Strait of Hormuz against international shipping, and stop the Iraqi ports.
