Immigration authorities in Costa Rica have announced the deportation of Egyptians and Iraqis suspected of belonging to the "Daash" organization out of the country.

"The four men will be expelled to their country after the investigation is over, given their illegal status in Costa Rica," said director of immigration Vican Jose.

For its part, the Nicaraguan police announced in a statement that the army arrested the four men who are "suspected of links with the organization of the terrorist's advocate," noting that "they were entered from the Republic of Costa Rica illegally through a border crossing."

Mohammed Ibrahim, 33, Mahmoud Sami Issa, 26, and Ahmed Ghanem Mohammed al-Jubouri, 41, and Mustafa Ali Mohammed Yaqub, 29, were arrested on Tuesday in Nicaragua.

The four detainees entered Costa Rica on June 9 from Panama, under an immigration agreement between the two countries that allows for the entry of 100 migrants a day. Many illegal immigrants from Haiti, Cuba, Africa and Asia are crossing Costa Rican territory to reach the United States.
