Chairman of the Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Reza, on Saturday, the alternative to the leaders of military operations after the draft cancellation and vote in parliament.
"The alternative to the abolition of operational command would be through a command in the northern region, another in the south as well as the central," he said.
He added: "What is new is that even for the Popular Mobilization and Tribal Mobilization, they will be under the control of this new leadership with various other formations in Iraq."
"When every command in the southern or western region has a leader, and all the pieces under his eyes, that is certainly better than the multiplicity of leaders," he said.
Earlier, Defense Ministry officials and parliamentarians revealed a serious approach by various political blocs to put forward the project to abolish military operations commanders and vote in parliament during its new legislative term next month.
