Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee Hoshyar Abdullah, on Sunday, two ways to die, stressing the need to allocate part of the budget 2020 to rehabilitate the internal and major roads between all provinces leading to neighboring countries.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, Abdullah said that "the main roads linking the provinces began to erode and end over time because of negligence and lack of seriousness in the implementation or completion of projects, including the Baghdad-Kirkuk road and the southern road and its branches and even roads leading to the border. With neighboring countries. "
He added: "Today we have two death routes, one in the south and the other in the north, while if the name of (death road) in any other country would be a scandal and the resignation of ministers and officials, knowing that hundreds of motorists and families were the victims of traffic accidents that occurred ".
Abdullah said: "Within the cities, the roads have become miserable and shameful, as if we are in a poor bankrupt country, while it is possible to increase financial allocations for the development and rehabilitation of roads as the lifeblood of cities and not only to facilitate movement within them, but also reflect their civilizational facade."
He pointed out that "there is a debate within the Parliamentary Finance Committee on increasing allocations of internal and external roads leading to neighboring countries within the budget next year, and we hope that the next phase will see a real qualitative renaissance in this area."
