A member of the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/10334/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A9][size=13]parliamentary legal[/url] committee Hussein al-Oqabi, on Tuesday, the inclusion of a clause in [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3100/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AA]the electoral law[/url] prohibiting dual nationality and those who have committed administrative and financial crimes to assume parliamentary positions in the upcoming elections.
Al-Oqabi said in a statement that his committee "will take into account all the views and proposals of deputies to come up with a fundamental issue commensurate with [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3100/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AA]the[/url] new [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/3100/%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%86%D9%88%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%AA]election law[/url] that will meet the aspiration of the Iraqi people."
