    The Directorate of Public Municipalities of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities has defined, on Thursday, the controls and mechanisms for distributing plots of land between citizens according to the electronic form that it launched in accordance with Resolution 70 of 2019 in all the governorates, districts and districts, stating that its competent owners are currently working on preparing the project (new cities) ) To be established soon.
    The director general of the department, Ali Hussein Abdel Amir, said in a statement reported by the official newspaper "Al-Sabah" and seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that the department "succeeded in creating large areas in all the governorates, districts and districts in coordination with the relevant authorities in order to expand the municipal boundaries for cities."
    He explained, "The tranches owed under this decision are the one covered by the salaries of the social welfare network, and the tier of people with disabilities and special needs, by owning a plot of land with an allowance of 250 dinars per square meter."
    Abdul Amir added, "The individuals of these two slides will transfer their names from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to the provinces, meaning that the distribution between the applicants among them will be according to the existing names without any review or presentation of papers proving this."
    He pointed out, "Priority will be given to the families of martyrs in the lands and according to the points and controls in effect, and the price per square meter is set at 250 dinars with services. As for the other categories and those with high income, the price per square meter is set at 75 thousand dinars per meter for the purpose of implementing basic services."
    He disclosed that "there are large numbers of lands ready for distribution, which he noted will cover large numbers of applicants in some governorates," noting that his department "is currently waiting to be sent to reveal the names of the governorates covered by distribution to all segments according to Cabinet Resolution No. 419 of 2019 with an allowance" The amount of 250 dinars per square meter, which is distributed by the allocation committee formed in the governorate and with the approval of the governor.
    He continued, "Their distribution will be conditional according to the hometown or the usual place of residence for the last ten years in the district center," noting that "the applicant is granted a piece of residential land with an area of ​​300 square meters with an allowance of 250 dinars per square meter provided that he did not previously benefit from a residential piece from the state according to a decision The dissolved Revolutionary Command Council No. 120 of 1982, but if his hometown is his head in the judiciary, the area will be 250 square meters, and 200 square meters if his hometown is in the province, with an allowance of 250 dinars per square meter.
    The Director of Public Municipalities stated that the staff of his department "is currently working on preparing a project (new cities) that will be established in the near future in cooperation with the ministries of finance and agriculture, by allocating thousands of acres in the governorates for their establishment, stating that the sale will take place according to Resolution No. 70 of 2019" .
    He revealed that "the Ministry of Finance will adopt the lending of the Ministry of Construction and Housing the sums necessary for the implementation of basic services until the sums are collected from the beneficiaries."
