(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Independent Commission for Human Rights in Iraq warned that hundreds of Palestinian families in Baghdad are at risk of displacement, after the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees cut the rental fees for about 300 Palestinian families residing in the capital.
[size=15][rtl][size=21]While the Commission indicated that most of them are sick and elderly, they confirmed their intention to go to Tahrir Square and join the demonstrators with their demands.[/rtl]

[rtl]"After the UNHCR cut the rental fees for three hundred Palestinian families in Baghdad, most of whom are sick, elderly, children and widows, they have become threatened with displacement in Iraq," UNHCR member Ali al-Bayati said in a blog post on Facebook.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Bayati added that "there is an intention to go to Tahrir Square to find solutions with the people of the country who have been demanding their rights for 4 months."[/rtl]
[rtl]He said that "the number of Palestinians today is about 4 thousand citizens, after they were before 2003 more than 40 thousand."[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Bayati denied knowing the reasons that pushed the UNHCR to take the decision to cut the subsidy, but stated that "UNHCR has guaranteed to pay rents for the poor and the needy who were paid by circumstances after 2003, to stay in camps in the municipalities in Baghdad, and then offered them, later, to pay rent To live in homes, but today it stopped this for reasons that we do not know, and a number of them appealed to the Iraqi Human Rights Commission to intervene to reveal their problem. " is over[/rtl]
