    The Iraqi Investment Authority Is Complaining About The Suspension Of Its Projects, Including A "Security Forces" Project

    [rtl](The Independent) ... The Iraqi Investment Authority announced that there were attempts to stop its projects, expressing its surprise at the attempt to stop a project "related to the security forces."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The National Investment Commission said in a statement it received (Al-Mustaqilla) today, Thursday, that it “is working to make great efforts in order to achieve its goals for which it was established, foremost of which is encouraging investment and supporting the private sector and Iraqi investors, in order to implement successful construction projects inside Iraq, including housing projects. That would contribute to reducing the housing crisis and providing decent housing for citizens of all segments and sectors.[/rtl]
    [rtl]She added that "the project (Model Security Forces City) came as part of an ambitious plan for the authority to implement housing projects that designate important sectors of the Iraqi people, especially the members of the Internal Security Forces, as part of loyalty to their heroics and sacrifices that they made and made to defend the security of the homeland and the citizen."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The statement indicated that “the project (The Model Internal Security Forces City) was announced by publishing it in official newspapers on 5/21/2020 for a period of 30 days and according to the established principles and contexts. Then the announcement was extended due to the health ban measures that accompanied the Corona pandemic and published it for a second time. For the period from 6/29/2020 .. until 7/13/2020, in order to allow the largest number of investors to apply for the project.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The authority clarified that “after carrying out the legal procedures that include analysis and referral and in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the project was referred to four Iraqi companies that have the experience and ability to implement this project optimally through their work carried out in similar projects and according to the specifications, conditions and standards approved by the Commission, which were made. Confirmation of the fundamentalist records of the official meetings with representatives of the security ministries.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The commission confirmed, “But as we were embarking on the procedures for the implementation of the project, we were surprised by a torrent of criticisms that want to stop this project and suspend it under false pretenses. Presenting him to the sons of the heroic security forces as a reward for their heroism and sacrifices.[/rtl]
    [rtl]And she stressed, "There is no clear reason or justification for denying the security man access to a housing unit at a suitable price, except to achieve the goals of some greedy whales and corruption whales who are urgent on investment and those who stand behind them who have narrow personal interests."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The commission continued, “its keenness to achieve its goals and implement its projects in a transparent and fair manner and in accordance with technical standards and fundamentalist procedures, despite all the obstructive voices and positions that ultimately lead to creating an environment that repels investment and the flight of Iraqi capital abroad, which is ultimately reflected negatively on the plans for construction, reconstruction and prosperity. The government seeks to achieve it through our commission, ministries and other bodies, each according to its duty and specialization.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The commission concluded its statement, "We say to all voices trying to stop this project and obstruct the efforts of our Commission, you should think about supporting the government and its formations that work day and night in extremely difficult and complex conditions in order to achieve its ambitious program for the prosperity of Iraq, serving Iraqi citizens and supporting their right to live in dignity and prosperity."[/rtl]
