(Baghdad: Al Furat News) MP Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani asked the Council of Ministers, on Saturday, to increase the social aid salary.
In a statement received by Al Furat News, Al-Sudani said, "The latter called on the Council of Ministers to study and implement the proposal that it had previously submitted to the Parliamentary Finance Committee, which unfortunately did not work with it, and the judge is to increase the amount of the social aid salary according to what is mentioned in the book below."
He added, "The Council of Ministers has the legal authority to increase the salary according to Article (24) of the Social Protection Law No. 11 of 2014," stressing that "the increase in the subsidy salary will reduce the harm done to poor families as a result of the high exchange rate of the dollar and the precautionary measures to limit the Corona pandemic." .
