[size=15]On Thursday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee considered that the Iraqi environment is still expelling investment, under the rule of armed factions instead of the law.[/size]
[size=15]The head of the committee, Haitham al-Jubouri, told NRT Arabia, (25 March 2021), that "the unstable security and political situation in Iraq and the many interventions and cases of blackmail to which investors are exposed have led to their alienation and those who remain in the Iraqi investor country and there is no law protecting it while they are being harmed due to political differences. This pushed many of them to liquidate their businesses inside Iraq and to go to other countries. "[/size]
[size=15]"Any successful investment in the world needs the rule of law, not the rule of factions and the rule of others," he added.[/size]
