The governor of Diwaniyah, Zuhair al-Shaalan, warned, on Sunday, that the free lecturers represent a "time bomb," stressing that the opposition of the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, to the lecturers' paragraph is sufficient to amend it .
Al-Shaalan said, "We have told all parties that the free lecturers represent a time bomb," noting that "the lecturers study more than one subject, and some of them do not have a transportation fee ."
He added that "there will be a delegation of conservatives to meet with the President of the Republic," stressing that "the objection of the President of the Republic to the paragraph of the lecturers in the budget is sufficient to amend it ."
Al-Shaalan explained that "about 20 thousand lectures for free in Diwaniyah," pointing out at the same time that "there are more than 200 thousand lectures in all provinces."
