The Ministry of Health and Environment announced, on Tuesday, its contract to purchase large quantities of vaccines against the Corona virus, while revealing its plan to increase the number of recipients.
The Director General of Public Health in the Ministry, Riad Abdel Amir, said, according to the official media, that "the ministry has contracted to purchase large quantities of anti-Coronavirus vaccines from Copax and Pfizer."
He pointed out that "there is little equipment at the present time as a result of the global demand for the vaccine," stressing that "the equipment will improve in the second half of this year."
"The Ministry of Health has prepared a plan for distributing vaccine dispensing outlets that include all health centers, with the aim of increasing the vaccination rate through easy access to and availability of the vaccine in all health centers," Abdel Amir explained.
He added, "The ministry will then go to state institutions and universities where health centers are available, as well as open vaccination sessions in departments in order to facilitate the vaccination process for citizens." Ended 29/A 43
