, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed, on Sunday, that he discussed with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi economic files, rail connectivity, and increasing trade exchange.
"We thank the President of the Islamic Republic for the hospitality," Al-Kazemi said, in a press conference with Raisi, which was held today in Tehran, and was followed by Mawazine News.
He added, "We discussed a set of bilateral files, including files that strengthen brotherly relations and historical ties."
Al-Kazemi continued, "We discussed economic files, railway connectivity, and increasing trade exchange."
He expressed his thanks "to everyone who stood with Iraq in its war against ISIS, and to Iran, which stood with Iraq from the first moment in its war against ISIS."
For his part, Raisi said, "Al-Kazemi agreed to increase Iran's share regarding the Arbaeen visitors," pointing to "the agreement to cancel the visa between Iraq and Iran."
He added, "We have deep relations with Iraq, and we made several decisions in the joint meeting with Al-Kazemi."
The Iranian president stressed, "Looking forward to strengthening relations between Iraq and Iran." Ended 29 / A 43
