[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein discussed with the Vice-President of the European Commission Margaritischinas the issue of Iraqi citizens stranded in a number of European Union cities. The Minister affirmed that the Iraqi government has taken all measures to preserve the security and safety of Iraqi citizens in various parts of the European Union, and work to avoid any Iraqi becoming a victim of smuggling networks, adding that we have sent consular delegations to refugee camps for the purpose of examining their conditions and providing them with possible assistance, and the delegations initiated procedures Proving pastoralism and issuing laissez-passer for asylum seekers wishing to voluntarily return to Iraq, noting that the government is working to return all stranded Iraqis voluntarily, and in a manner that preserves their dignity.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Minister received Margaritischinas and his accompanying delegation, and discussed with him the relations between Iraq and the European Union at various levels.
For his part, the Vice President of the European Commission expressed his thanks and happiness to the European Union for the early measures taken by Iraq in combating smuggling operations in which innocent citizens are victims, stressing the importance of joint cooperation in order to return them." / End 2[/rtl]
