It seems that the ratification of the election results will be delayed until the appeals submitted to the Federal Supreme Court are resolved. Experts suggested that the court would issue its decision regarding the cases during the current month in order to resolve the issue, ratify the results, and go towards holding the first parliamentary sessions. Legal expert Tariq Harb explained in his interview with “Al-Sabah” that “the Federal Court will not delay resolving the cases regarding the elections, and they may be resolved during this month, and the evidence is that the court does not give close dates as it did in the lawsuit filed by the head of the Al-Fath bloc Hadi Al-Amiri.”
He added that “the approval of the winning names in the recent parliamentary elections is not done until after the cases are resolved, and as long as a session has been formed and considered, it is not possible to ratify until after the issue is resolved, which may take one, two or three sessions, and this matter is up to the discretion of the Federal Supreme Court, but The approval of the results follows the resolution of these cases, because it is related to the first session, the approval of the results, and the formation of the new parliament.” Harb ruled out the delay in resolving the case, noting, “I do not think that resolving the case will be delayed, and in the most estimate this month, the issue will be resolved,” noting that “the issue is natural and legal that the case be postponed more than once and that the approval remains pending until the case is resolved.” Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi supported Harb’s words regarding the approval of the election results, saying in an interview with “Al-Sabah”:
