    {Local: Al Furat News} The head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, on Tuesday inspected all border crossings in Basra Governorate.
    And the media outlets stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "the progress of work in the field was reviewed at the northern, central and southern port of Umm Qasr, while he stressed through it the checking of the measures taken, especially the electronic verification of the search and investigation portals." 
    He added, "After conducting the tour, a meeting was held with the directors of the ports of (Safwan, Shalamjah, Khor Al-Zubair port, Abu Flus, Al-Maqal, Umm Qasr, the northern, central and southern) and they were directed to the following:
    1- Emphasis on working with integrity and high professionalism to prevent smuggling and waste of public money. 
    2- Preventing tampering with weights or changing the description of the goods. 

    3- Coordination with the working departments, information exchange and integration. 
    4- Emphasizing the supervisory and supervisory role without interfering with technical matters. 
    5-Following up the cases referred to the judiciary and preventing tampering with the details of the referral or the minutes of re-disclosure. 

    6 - Emphasis on checking the goods exempted from duties and not releasing them except after the presence of the authorized person of the beneficiary. 
    7- Coordination with the international code to prevent the entry of any unauthorized person to the ports. 
    8- Emphasis on checking the goods and not releasing them until after ensuring that they conform to the specifications and controls of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control. 
    9- Checking all receipts to prevent any fraud and activate electronic work on the electronic platform. 

    10 - Emphasis on the customs centers and the General Company for Ports to withdraw the overcrowded containers in accordance with the decisions and instructions issued in their regard. 
    11- Emphasizing the commitment of all departments operating at the port to the workspaces of each authority and preventing interference with powers in accordance with the issued laws. 
    12- Checking the entry of tourist wheels and ensuring their exit from the country in accordance with the approved regulations. 
     
    In the same context, a joint meeting was achieved between the above-mentioned and the directors of the customs center (Umm Qasr, the northern, the southern, the central, and the Basra gate), where Al-Waeli stressed the need to work in a team spirit and continuous cooperation between the employees and officers of (ports and customs) to achieve the desired goals in raising the level of performance and imposing The prestige of the state through continuous coordination, integration and exchange of information.
