Iraqi universities record important competitive positions in international rankings

{Local: Al Furat News} Iraqi universities recorded important competitive positions in the URAP World Ranking for the year 2022/2021.
And the ministry stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that “the official website (https://urapcenter.org/Rankings/2021-2022/World_Ranking_2021-2022) showed the classification of (3002) universities around the world, while nine Iraqi universities strengthened their positions in The classification is for the universities of Baghdad, Technology, Al-Mustansiriya, Basra, Babylon, Mosul, Qadisiyah, Kufa and the Middle Technical University.
And she added, "URAP's ranking in its indicators depends on scientific articles 21%, citations 21%, the total number of research papers 10%, the total articles impact 18%, the total citation impact 15%, and international cooperation 15%."
It is worth noting that Iraqi universities have their presence and their escalating competition in international rankings, especially the (The Times) classification in which there are currently four Iraqi universities, the (QS) classification in which there are five universities, the (Scimago) classification in which there are twenty-two universities, and the (Greenmetric) classification, which entered It has sixty-one Iraqi universities and the URAP classification, in which there are four Iraqi universities, in addition to the Webometrics classification, which recorded the attendance and competition of eighty-two Iraqi universities and colleges.
While the index of scientific research in global publishing containers showed that Iraq ranked forty-fifth globally, sixth in the Middle East and third in the Arab world.
