An Iraqi human rights organization revealed shocking numbers about the phenomenon of human trafficking, which is growing in the country with the expansion of poverty and unemployment and the rise of organized crime.
According to Al-Masir, a human rights organization, it has recorded 300 cases of human trafficking during the past year.
The head of the organization, Iman Al-Silawi, confirmed that all ages are subjected to trafficking, whether they are children, women or youth, but she indicated that there has been an increase in the involvement of women in this type of crime, specifically the trafficking of girls and human organs.
