    The media office of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced that he will go on an official visit next Sunday to the Iranian capital, Tehran.

    The statement added, "The visit schedule also includes a meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, and a number of Iranian officials."The office said in a statement, "It is scheduled that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi will pay a visit to Tehran on Sunday, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, at an official invitation from the Iranian Shura Council Speaker Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf."

    For his part, Qalibaf stressed in the invitation letter that "bilateral parliamentary cooperation will be the most important part of the friendship between Baghdad and Tehran."
    He added, "This relationship will lead to further consolidation and deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels.
