    Iraqi Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi

    The media office of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced that he will go on an official visit next Sunday to the Iranian capital, Tehran.

    [size=45]The office said in a statement, "It is scheduled that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi will pay a visit to Tehran on Sunday, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, in response to an official invitation from the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf."

    [size=45]The statement added, "The visit schedule also includes a meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, and a number of Iranian officials."[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Qalibaf stressed in the invitation letter that "bilateral parliamentary cooperation will be the most important part of the friendship between Baghdad and Tehran."[/size]
