Today, Saturday, the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, called for uniting the word in order to build Iraq.
Saleh said in his tweet on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr: "On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Sadr, we proudly recall the honorable stances for which he was martyred, and his last eloquent words and what we need today."
He added: "Let your words unite in order to build a free and dignified Iraq, in which citizens of all nationalities and sects feel that they are brothers, all contributing to the leadership of their country and the building of their homeland."
