Earth News/ A member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Goran Fathi, warned today, Sunday, of the consequences of the crisis with the Democratic Party on the Kurdistan region.
In an interview with Earth News, Fathi said that "there are no negotiations or even communication between the PUK and the Democratic Party on the issue of the presidency, but on the contrary, there is a great tension and estrangement between the two parties on this issue and a number of other political issues in the Kurdistan region."
He added, "Among them are the upcoming elections in Kurdistan, where the union demands a change in the commission, as well as the election law in Kurdistan."
He pointed out that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party is currently in one front, and the Union and other parties in the Kurdistan region are in another front regarding the region's elections in the tenth month."
And he indicated that "the Democrat's intransigence on the issue of the presidency of the republic has caused a great rift and rupture within the Kurdish house and the Kurdish street as well," adding that "there are fiery statements between the officials of the Union and the Democratic Party, as well as between party media, and the consequences of the current problems between the two parties will be great in Kurdistan if the two sides do not find a solution." her, especially the Democrat.
