, on Monday, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan sent a message to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which included the need to work unified and to overcome this obstacle in Baghdad.
This came in a letter sent by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the latter.
The Union expressed its hope that this occasion would be an "opportunity to develop bilateral relations with each other, and to overcome all obstacles that stand in the way of understanding between the two parties in working within the Kurdistan region, or in Baghdad."
He added: We also hope that "the changes in the world, the region and Iraq will be taken into consideration, and that all political forces will unite in order to go to Baghdad in a unified manner, and to overcome this difficult stage that Iraq is going through."
Both Kurdish parties adhere to their candidate for the presidency, as the Kurdistan Democratic Party submitted Riber Ahmed, "Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region" for the position, while the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan wants to renew its candidate Barham Salih (the current president) for a second term.
