    [size=45]Italian General Giovanni Iannucci officially assumed the leadership of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) mission in Iraq, succeeding Danish General Michael Lollesgaard, who led the mission in Iraq since May 6 last year.[/size]
    [size=45]General Giovanni Iannucci assumed the command of the NATO mission in Iraq, at a "change of command" ceremony held in the Green Zone in Baghdad, the day before yesterday, Tuesday.[/size]
    [size=45]The Secretary-General of NATO, "Giovanni Iannucci," welcomed General "Giovanni Iannucci" to take command of the mission in Iraq, numbering about 4,000 personnel.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the official website of NATO, the main mission of the alliance's mission in Iraq is "to meet all the challenges facing the Euro-Atlantic region, from any direction, through a 360-degree approach to security."[/size]
    [size=45]In conjunction with the Russian war in Ukraine, the official website of the Swedish Armed Forces expected an increase in the number of Swedish personnel working within the NATO mission in Iraq, according to “the plans to expand the NATO mission in Iraq during the current year 2022.”[/size]
    [size=45]Russia usually describes the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as a "war alliance", and considers it a dangerous provocation to encircle it because of the huge area that Russia constitutes, which reaches as far as the Pacific Ocean.[/size]
