The Minister of Interior, Mr. Othman Al-Ghanimi, discussed with the French Ambassador accredited to Iraq, Mr. Eric Chevalier, prospects for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries.
The Minister welcomed his guest, and discussed with him a number of issues of common interest, foremost of which is the continuation of coordination and support from the French side to Iraq on several levels, especially in the field of combating terrorism and crime, as well as continuing cooperation in the field of training and exchanging information and experiences.
For his part, the French ambassador praised Iraq's efforts in eliminating terrorism, chasing down terrorist gangs, and achieving victory over them, and stressed France's support for the Iraqi government's efforts in this field, praising the great efforts made by the security services to achieve security and stability.
