    Erbil Governorate announced new decisions regarding the gasoline crisis and the reduction of fuel smuggling operations.
    The Governor of Erbil, Omid Khoshnaw, said in a press conference followed by the news agency, that "400,000 liters / day of gasoline provided by Kar Company to Erbil Governorate has been allocated and sold at a price of 690 dinars per liter exclusively for taxis and buses according to the single and double system, taking into account the conditions of this category and with the aim of Reducing the burden on citizens who use taxis.
    He pointed out that "the allocation of 400,000 liters to Erbil was made on the basis of the cars in the province, which constitute 57% of the total cars in the Kurdistan region, and not on the basis of population distribution," noting: "We are waiting to determine the final quantities according to the data provided by the Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Natural Resources." ".
    The second decision was “to provide more than one million liters of subsidized gasoline to the governorate at a price of 800 dinars per liter, and this quantity is distributed in all licensed stations at a rate of 50 liters per vehicle, without following the odd and even system in order to eliminate monopoly cases.”
    Khoshnaw pointed out that "the Erbil controls were directed to prevent the smuggling of kerosene abroad," stressing that "even transporting gasoline to districts requires a prior license specifying the exact destination, given the presence of a group that was smuggling kerosene outside Erbil and the Kurdistan region," noting that "measures have been taken." against violators and confiscation of smuggled quantities.”
    As for the fourth decision, it included “opening ports to import gasoline, providing the necessary facilities in this regard, and reducing fees to encourage the import of this substance and provide it to citizens, taking into account the conditions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and quality standards.”
    The governor of Erbil threatened to “announce the names of the stations that manipulate the quality of gasoline and subject them to the penalty of closure and financial fines, and he also stressed the assignment of specialized teams to follow up on the field, calling on citizens to submit their complaints about the violating stations.”
