Today, Tuesday, the leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, attacked the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, for what he called "his refusal to sign a law criminalizing normalization."
He said in a press statement: "It is very, very shameful, for the so-called President of the Republic of Iraq: (Barham) to refuse to sign the law criminalizing normalization."
He added, "It would be shameful for the people for their president to be normalizing and unpatriotic, but rather subordinating to the West or the East.
I absolve him of this crime before God and before the Iraqi people.
