The General Company for Ports of Iraq held a workshop in the northern port of Umm Qasr to discuss the application of the electronic manifest program and the unification of data on the goods on the electronic platform for all parts of the port and the supporting authorities.
According to the Director General of Ports, Dr. Eng. Farhan Al-Fartousi, specialists in the northern port of Umm Qasr discussed, during a workshop, which was held in the port’s meeting room, the process of linking the manifest with the electronic platform, and unifying the information and data on the goods electronically in the port departments, with the supporting authorities, including Error in this work is not accepted.
The official of the operations unit in the northern port of Umm Qasr, Adel Nouri, who ran the workshop, explained that "the workshop was held in the presence of ship agents and the Umm Qasr Lighthouse Company, with the aim of joint coordination to raise the consolidated data in an accurate manner."
He added, "The problems and obstacles were discussed and solutions were proposed to reach the application of the program that uses the manifest on the electronic platform completely, and to work according to electronic management and standardization of data with the supporting bodies working in
Al-Moanae".
