The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, called on the political parties to start an open dialogue in Erbil to reach an "understanding and agreement based on the higher interests of the country," warning that increasing the complexity of matters under these sensitive circumstances "presents community peace, security and stability." in the country at risk.
Barzani said in a statement received by Mawazine News, "We are following with deep concern the political situation and developments in Iraq, and we call on the various political parties to exercise utmost restraint and engage in direct dialogue in order to solve problems."
Barzani warned that "increasing the complexity of matters under these sensitive circumstances endangers societal peace, security and stability in the country."
He added, "While we respect the will of the masses to demonstrate peacefully, we stress the importance of protecting state institutions and the security, life and property of citizens and state employees. The people of Iraq deserve a better life, present and future, and the joint duty and responsibility of all forces and parties is to work together to get Iraq out of this circumstance." sensitive and dangerous.
He continued, "The Kurdistan region will, as always, be part of the solution, so we call on the concerned political parties in Iraq to come to Erbil, their second capital, and start an open and inclusive dialogue to reach an understanding and agreement based on the country's higher interests.
