    Today, Friday, the UN Security Council called on the Iraqi parties to exercise restraint and start dialogue.


    In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the council stated that "the members of the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] condemned the violence that swept [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] on August 29 and 30, and expressed their deep concern over reports of casualties and injuries, and took note of the Iraqi government's efforts to restore order."






    The Council called "the parties to calm and exercise restraint, and welcomed the parties' calls to refrain from further violence."
