Sheikh Muhammad al-Aboudi, a close associate of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, said on Tuesday that the latter's life is in "danger", while he called on the Iraqis to go to the field and leave the position of "a spectator."
Al-Aboudi wrote on his Facebook page, saying: “O Sadrists, the life of your leader is in danger, so trust.”
He added, "O Iraqis, your homeland, Iraq, is at stake. So leave the spectator position and go down to the field.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the postponement of the demonstration of his supporters scheduled for next Saturday, until further notice.
