Al-Maliki disavows every website bearing his name that insults and slanders the "Companions"
Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki announced his innocence from websites bearing his name that work on "insulting and slandering the companions of the Prophet Muhammad and his wives, warning of a plot to ignite a hateful sectarian strife."
Al-Maliki said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency, "I register my innocence from every website in my name, which is subjected to insults, slander and abuse against the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his wives, the mothers of the believers."
Al-Maliki warned, "The circulation of the logic of insult and cursing is a plan to entrap Muslims, and to stir up hateful sectarian strife at a time when enemies are rallying against the Islamic nation."
He added, "While I reject this logic and practice, I invite those who do it, especially those who name their pages
in my name; To adhere to the approach away from insults, insults and accusations, or they change the names of their pages and are not in the name of Al-Maliki, whether they are lovers or haters.” He thanked “everyone who adheres.”
Al-Maliki also called on "those who declared their rejection of the insults approach to denounce what was issued by some people who insulted the pure imams, the martyrs of the crowd and the pilgrims of the forty days of Imam Hussein."
Since the statement of the Parliamentary Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee, last Sunday, which recorded a strong disapproval of statements issued by the well-known Radod "Mullah Basem al-Karbalai" referring to the "companions of the Messenger", the reactions in the communication sites have intensified between rejection, acceptance and exchange of accusations.
