The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, has repudiated every website in his name that “is subjected to insults, slander and abuse against the companions of the Prophet, his wives and the mothers of the believers,” stressing that “the commandment of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (peace be upon him), is not to be cursing.”
Nuri al-Maliki said in a tweet: "The circulation of the logic of insult and cursing is a plan to wreak havoc among Muslims, and to provoke a hateful sectarian strife."
He called on those who practice this logic, especially those who name their pages in his name, to “adhere to the approach away from insults, insults and accusations, or change the names of their pages and not in the name of al-Maliki, whether they love them or hate them.”
