Shafaq News / The Iraqi Border Ports Authority announced, on Friday, 45 days for the number of arrivals and departures, through the land border crossings, to participate in the fortieth visit.
And the spokesman for the ports, Alaa Al-Din Al-Qaisi, told Shafaq News Agency, "The border crossings, and since Sunday, 1 of Muharram, (7/31/2022) until yesterday, Thursday (15/9/2022), the total number of arrivals to Iraq 3,085,642 people".
Al-Qaisi added, "The total number of departures from Iraq has reached, until now, 1,192,715 departures," noting that "the total of arrivals through the ports to Iraq for yesterday, Thursday (15/9/2022) only, is 70,117 arrivals, and 154,435 departures."
A spokesman for the ports confirmed, "The entry of visitors through the Iraqi border crossings continues, to participate in the revival of the forty-day visit, amid high flow, and without any hindrance, or logistic beams."
The General Command of the Iraqi Armed Forces announced yesterday, Thursday, that more than 20 million people, including 5 million foreigners, flocked to Karbala Governorate to perform the forty-day visit, with the highest toll since 2003.
About a month ago, thousands of Iraqi citizens and of other nationalities flocked to the city of Karbala to commemorate the fortieth visitation ceremony, which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 17th.
