Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar confirmed, on Monday evening, that 38 lawsuits were filed by the National Oil Company against him by parliamentarians whose interests were damaged, indicating that there is now no case or news against him.
Abdul-Jabbar said in a televised interview followed by / the National News Center / that "the decision of the Federal Court regarding the National Oil Company was surprising, and that all the cases that were filed against me were closed by the judiciary," noting that "the allegations about Shell Oil Company are practices aimed at expelling investment."
He added, "There is a large amount of money seized in the Ministry of Finance."
The minister indicated that "the news of my seizure of a plot of land in Al-Daoudi is false and untrue."
He noted that the Federal Court's decision challenged the legal effect of the position of the head of the National Oil Company, and the decision to dissolve it shook the legal environment of the oil industry.
He pointed out that "the decision of the Federal Court regarding the oil and gas law in the region is very fair."
