The agency's correspondent reported that clashes took place between the forces of order and supporters of the Sadrist movement in Tahrir Square, pointing out that the clashes took place by throwing stones between the two parties.
Meanwhile, Tahrir Square in central Baghdad witnessed an intense security deployment at Al-Jumhuriya Bridge, with a group of demonstrators present there.
Since yesterday, Tuesday, the security authorities have tightened the closure of vital and main roads in the capital, Baghdad, as part of a strict security plan on the eve of a scheduled session of the Iraqi parliament, at a time when news is circulating of a simultaneous demonstration of the followers of the Sadrist movement in the Tahrir area, which has tightened access to it.
The security plan for securing possible demonstrations and the parliament session entered into force, since last night, and included closing the bridges of the Republic, Al-Sinak, the Medical City Bridge and the People's Stadium, in addition to restricting exit and entry into Sadr City.
The capital, Baghdad, was divided into three partitions, with more than 70 percent of roads and bridges out of service, in addition to completely closing the Green Zone, in addition to the main entrances to the capital.
